  • How do I choose the time horizon?
Penelope offers you three powerful, independent forecasting functions: 1-day, 3-day, and 5-day. To help you choose the best one for you, you can use the simulation function, which will show you how the various functions have performed in similar market situations.
  • Can I change my profile once set up?
With Penelope, you have maximum flexibility! Every time you make a trade or activate an agent, you can decide and customize your risk level, adapting it to your needs in real-time.
  • What do I see on the main dashboard?
Penelope's main dashboard is an intuitive control center, divided into four sections to give you a comprehensive overview: Monthly Performance: Displays your monthly performance, broken down into manual trades and those managed by agents, with the total value. Performance is calculated by summing the profit/loss percentages of each trade, assuming identical weighting for each. Active Trades: Shows active trades grouped by instrument, for a clear view of your open positions. Active Agents: Provides an immediate view of currently active agents and the instruments they are managing. Direction Forecast: this is the core of Penelope, the section dedicated to direction forecasts for the instruments you have selected, helping you make informed decisions. Here you have forecast for each instrument and timeframe (1, 3, 5 days forward).
  • How do I read today's signals?
LONG and SHORT signals are easily accessible from the dashboard. They are organized into three intuitive tabs, which refer to our three forecast time horizons: 1 day, 3 days, and 5 days. Choose the one you prefer for your analysis!
  • Where can I see the history of signals?
The detailed history of signals is available in the "Simulations" section. By hovering your mouse over each item in the graph, you can view all the daily details, including that day's specific forecasts.
  • How do I interpret a "LONG" or "SHORT" signal?
A signal should be interpreted as the difference between the opening price of the day and the closing price of the reference day. For example, for a 3-day forecast, the signal will be LONG if the current day's opening price is expected to be lower than the closing price two days from now (three trading days: today, tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow). Conversely, if it is higher, the forecast will be SHORT. This approach applies to all forecasts, with the opening and closing dates clearly indicated alongside.
  • What does a "NEUTRAL" signal mean?
A "Neutral" signal indicates that our Artificial Intelligence is not completely certain about the market's direction, suggesting a very similar probability of rising or falling. In these cases, Penelope does not suggest any specific direction for the day, for your utmost caution.
  • How do I understand which time horizon a signal is based on?
It's very simple! The three tabs identified as "1 day," "3 days," and "5 days" clearly indicate the future time horizon on which the forecast was made, offering you immediate clarity.
  • Can I filter signals by asset?
Signals are intuitively organised, grouped by time horizon and by symbol/instrument, making it easy to find the information you're interested in!
  • Where can I see my active positions?
You can view your active positions directly on the dashboard, in a convenient view grouped by instrument. By clicking on them, you'll access a complete detail page with all information about your open positions.
  • Does Penelope also show signals for the next day?
Yes, Penelope provides you with a forward-looking view of signals for three time horizons: the current day, the next day, and up to four days into the future, to help you plan effectively.
  • What does "signal strength" mean?
"Signal strength" is a valuable indicator that shows you how confident our Artificial Intelligence is in predicting the market's direction, providing you with an additional element for your decisions.
  • How do I use Penelope's signals to trade?
Penelope allows you to trade exclusively on the generated signal, ensuring consistent operations with our forecasts. By clicking the "Trade" button next to the forecast, you can easily load a manual trade or activate an agent for an automatic trade.
  • Do I have to buy manually?
You have the freedom to choose! You can either make purchases manually or automate the entire buying and selling process through our agents, for your ultimate convenience.
  • Does Penelope send real-time notifications?
We have chosen to optimize notifications to avoid duplication. Therefore, we do not send direct buy and sell notifications. You will always be updated through the communications your Broker sends you regarding the operations Penelope has transmitted.
  • Where can I see historical signals and their accuracy?
Historical signals and their accuracy are available in the "Simulations" section, where you can analyze past performance and make informed decisions.
  • Does Penelope indicate a stop loss or take profit level?
When setting up a trade, the client is required to set a Trailing Stop Loss level to protect their investments. At the moment, direct Take Profit management is not possible, but we are always working to expand functionalities.
  • Are the signals valid for the entire day?
Yes, the signals are valid from the opening to the closing of the identified days (considering the difference between opening price and closing price), offering you a clear operating window.
  • Do signals expire or remain valid on subsequent days?
Penelope's signals are updated daily for the next 1, 3, and 5 days, ensuring you always have fresh and relevant information for your decisions.
  • What happens if I ignore a signal?
Absolutely nothing! The next day, you will have the opportunity to operate again based on a new signal, maintaining your flexibility.
  • Does Penelope also signal position reversals?
Our agents are designed to automatically perform position reversals (from LONG to SHORT and vice versa), ensuring dynamic and optimised management.
  • Can I test signals before using them?
Absolutely! We strongly encourage you to use Penelope in DEMO mode to familiarise yourself with all its potential. Only when you feel fully confident that it is the right system for you, can you switch to using a Live account, in complete safety.
  • Is there a demo mode?
Yes, Penelope offers a convenient Demo mode, perfect for exploring and practicing without any risk. this functionality require that the Broker also support demo mode, otherwise the functionality is not available.
  • How do I run a simulation?
Simulations are calculated automatically every night and are conveniently available in the "Simulations" section. For details on the calculation method, please refer to the document "how simulations are calculated."
  • Can I select custom time intervals?
Yes, you have the freedom to view simulations for 6 months, 1 year, 3 years, and Penelope's entire operational history, for in-depth and personalized analysis.
  • Are backtest results downloadable?
We do not offer traditional backtests. Our system has been carefully trained and validated until September 2021. Subsequently, forecasts were simulated by replicating the daily process from September 1, 2021, to March 30, 2024. From April 1, 2024, onwards, Penelope has operated in a production environment every day. Therefore, the data you find in the simulations section has not been optimized, but represents a faithful reproduction of the daily operations an automatic agent would have followed. If the prices necessary for the simulation are not available from our info provider, the simulations may have a shorter time horizon compared to the historical series of forecasts.
  • Does Penelope show simulation performance metrics?
Currently, we do not show specific performance metrics for simulations, but we are committed to providing clear and transparent data on our operations.
  • Can I compare multiple strategies?
Certainly! In the "Simulations" section, you can compare the three strategies available for each symbol, contrasting them with the reference market to help you choose the most effective one.
  • Can I also simulate multi-asset strategies?
At the moment, it is not possible to simulate multi-asset strategies, but we are always open to improving future functionalities.
  • Does Penelope simulate commissions?
Penelope does not simulate commissions, but it uses VWAP (Volume Weighted Average Price) to simulate slippage, offering you a more realistic estimate of the impact of your operations.
  • Can I save a simulation?
Yes, you can easily save the simulation charts to consult them at any time and keep track of your analyses.
  • Can I choose from different preset strategies?
Absolutely! For each instrument, you have three different strategies available, designed based on the forecast's time horizon, to offer you maximum flexibility.
